Does Motion Smoothness (Adaptive/Standard) affect Smash Your Fitness gameplay?

No — Motion Smoothness does not affect how Smash detects your movement.

On Android, Motion Smoothness controls the screen’s refresh rate (how smooth animations look). It does not change how the sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) track your motion. Your jumps, runs, and cycles will be detected the same whether Motion Smoothness is set to Adaptive or Standard.

  • Adaptive: Adjusts between higher refresh rates (90/120Hz) and 60Hz depending on what’s happening on-screen. Gameplay may look smoother, but refresh can dip briefly if the system thinks less power is needed.

  • Standard (60Hz): Locks the screen at 60Hz. This may make visuals look less fluid but can provide consistent performance.

💡 Recommendation

  • Keep Motion Smoothness on Adaptive for the best mix of visuals and battery life.

  • If you notice stuttering or lag, try switching to Standard for stability.

  • Either way, your motion tracking will remain accurate.

Bottom line: Motion Smoothness only affects how smooth the game looks — not how it tracks your movement.
