What are these points I see popping up on my screen?

The point system rewards players for their skills and achievements, encouraging continuous improvement, and enhancing the gaming experience. Its purpose is to reward player actions, track performance, increase license levels, and unlock achievements.

  • Points are earned through activities like drafting and cornering. Each point has specific thresholds that, when reached, grant more points.  Points are awarded based on how well and often you draft and on your cornering precision.
  • Milestones within the point system offer escalating rewards.  For instance, reaching 1,000 drafting points grants an additional 75 points per second.  Continual performance leads to higher bonuses, rewarding sustained activity.
  • Players can view their best scores on leaderboards, enabling competition. Reaching high scores unlocks achievements and rewards, adding goals beyond regular gameplay.
  • The Point Chain Display shows real-time accumulation of points.  And, the Description Queue describes the actions that are contributing to the current points.
  • A multiplier of 1 is applied if only one activity is performed.  Engaging in more than one activity, such as drafting and cornering, activates a multiplier like 1.1, increasing rewards.
  • Each point system has a buffer time, allowing players to temporarily stop the gaining of points without resetting their points in that system.  Let's see How the Buffer System Works. Players have a default 2 second buffer per activity before losing points. If all systems reach 0 points, players have a 5 second grace period to gain points, again in any system. If they do not, the point chain ends, and the player receives a final score for that point chain.  The final score from the point chain is used to increase the player's license level.
