How do I use the in-game audio?

The game includes in-game audio for paying subscribers. The free, COMING SOON, mobile version of the game will not have in-game audio.

To configure your audio settings:

  • Open the Settings menu different ways:
    • From most screens > gear icon (top right corner) > Social > Audio tab
    • From an Activity > Shift+Q > Social > Audio tab:
      • Audio should be set to ON
      • Devices - confirm the correct devices are selected for speakers and microphone

Open your mic several ways while in an Activity:

  • Click on the mic icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Your mic will remain open (green) until you click it again.
  • Press & hold the Control key to open your mic. When you release the key, your mic will close.
  • Click the letter "t" key on your keyboard, to open your mic for 10 seconds. You will see the green in your mic burn down for 10s while it is open and hear a sound when your mic opens and closes.
  • Input keys can also be configured from the Settings menu (Shift+Q > Inputs).

If there is someone in the channel with an open mic you can mute them one of two ways: 1) While in an activity, in the lower right where the microphone icon is, click the left arrow to expand the profile icons for players in the current audio playlist channel.  Click on the player icon to mute them and click again to unmute.  You will see a line thru their picture if they are muted or, 2) Press Shift+Q > Social > Channel tab. Your current channel will display along with a list of who is in the same channel. Click the speaker icon next to the person you want to mute. This only mutes that person for yourself; others in the channel will still hear them. To turn off all audio from a channel, click Leave or click on the speaker icon to toggle it off.
