If you don't want to bother with steering, braking, or shifting gears, or you are just getting started, we suggest you leave Autopilot, Auto Braking, & Auto Shift ON (these are all on by default for new users). It is easy to turn these Assists on and off from several places.
- Every time you enter an activity, the loading (Info) screen has the Assists drop-down at the top right of the screen.
- From an activity, you can press the ESC key to open the Info screen and access the Assists drop-down.
- From the Home Screen, click on the User icon > choose Profile and the Assists are on the right side of the page.
Due to the realistic physics, you will need to have either 1) Autopilot/Auto Braking/Auto Shift enabled, 2) a keyboard or, 3) the Companion App (CoApp) to change lanes, brake, and shift gears.
