Smash Your Fitness is designed to be flexible and inclusive, so you can use the devices you already own — from your phone to gym equipment. The platform detects motion through multiple options, giving you freedom to play however you like.
Here are the supported device types:
Smartphones
Every modern phone includes motion sensors like an accelerometer and gyroscope.
Smash uses these to track movement directly, so you can simply hold your phone, keep it in your pocket, or strap it to your arm to play.
This makes it possible to start playing without any extra hardware.
Smartwatches
Apple Watch and WearOS devices connect to Smash to capture your wrist and body movement with precision.
Using a watch frees up your hands and adds convenience for workouts that involve a lot of motion.
BLE FTMS-Enabled Equipment
Many treadmills, bikes, rowers, and ellipticals now support the Bluetooth FTMS (Fitness Machine Service) standard.
Smash can connect directly to these machines to read speed, cadence, incline, resistance, and other workout data.
This makes it possible to turn your regular cardio session into an interactive game experience.
The Smashometer (enhancement)
Our custom motion sensor adds even more precision and flexibility.
It can be worn or attached to equipment, and sends motion data straight into Smash for highly accurate in-game control.
🚫 What is not supported?
ANT+ is not supported. Some fitness devices use ANT+ instead of Bluetooth for data transmission. Smash does not connect to ANT+ devices, so to use those machines you would need an additional BLE-compatible sensor or equipment that supports Bluetooth FTMS.
✅ Bottom Line
Smash works with phones, smartwatches, BLE FTMS-enabled fitness equipment, and the Smashometer sensor. You can start with just your phone, then enhance your experience by adding watches or connected equipment. ANT+ devices are not supported, so be sure your equipment uses Bluetooth FTMS for compatibility.
