What is FTP?

Functional Threshold Power, or FTP, is one of the key training terms in fitness, especially cycling, and is effectively the maximum power you can sustain for an hour. It is commonly used to gauge a person's fitness level and to structure training zones. If you are going to ride on a smart trainer in a Workout, you will first need to add your FTP (User icon > Profile).

  • Default workout FTP is set to 200. Users can input their own FTP when starting their first workout, if they know it.
