In Smash Cups, players compete in a series (Playlist) of increasingly difficult races, earning points in each race. The player with the highest total score at the end wins the cup, earns rewards, and unlocks items.
To join a Smash Cup: Home Screen > Play > Smash Cups.
Many activities can have road and regular power-ups; however, in Smash Cups and other races, riders may also see Power Assist power-ups in the road if the activity creator has turned it On. They are different from other power-ups in that they are automatically spawned if you get behind in a Cup or race. You still have to run over them and, if your power-up holding slot has another power-up in it, you cannot acquire it. No Power Assists will be given the last 1km of an activity. Power Assists are regenerated several seconds after one is acquired.
Upon completion of an activity in a Smash Cup race, If you want to see the Scoreboard again, press Tab.
The first time you enter a Smash Cup, you may be greeted with different tutorials (e.g., How to Move (Physical), Understanding the HUD, Master Virtual Gears, Maximize Your Stamina, and more) depending on your action. You can also revisit any tutorials on the Home Screen or under the Help "?" button in the upper right of most screens.
